ABOUT FLOWERWORK FARM

Flowerwork Farm is a no-till, regenerative flower farm in downtown Florence, Massachusetts. We are members of the Grow Food Northampton Community Farm and follow organic growing methods. We grow a variety of annuals, perennials, bulbs and flowering shrubs and trees.

We practice sustainable farming and floral methods like locally sourced organic fertilizers, recycled paper based mulch, foam-free floral designs and re-purposed arrangement vessels and harvesting buckets. We are focused on providing locally grown flowers for our neighbors, finding unconventional, convenient and affordable ways to bring our customers some seasonal joy.

We offer hands-on vocational training to groups and individuals who may otherwise have difficulty accessing caring, inclusive and customizable work environments. We provide services for people who need a more structured, nature-based work environment so they can discover and develop the skills they need to find fulfilling jobs and reach their full potential.

Meet Suna, our farm manager. She has been growing food and flowers for 20 plus years. She is passionate about the natural world around her and learning new things.

Suna has a background in education and enjoys creating accessible outdoor spaces where she can connect with the people of different backgrounds, needs, and abilities through nature. She is a creator, a maker, an artist, an outside of the box thinker. She is an immigrant and new American and a second generation flower farmer, as her grandfather was a flower farmer in Turkey, where most of her family lives.

Suna likes to farm in traditional ways that work with nature and encourage wildlife. She hopes that you will make time to visit her in the fields.
