Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do I make my flowers last?

A: Your flowers are harvested and prepared with maximum vase life in mind. After you get them home, there are a few things you can do to keep them going strong. Bacteria growth in the water is the most common cause of short vase life. To discourage bacterial growth start with a super clean vase and remove any leaves or blooms that are below the water line. Changing the water every couple days and keeping them out of direct sun and extreme heat will also keep your fresh flowers happier longer. Once some blooms start to fade, remove them from the bouquet, give the remaining stems a fresh cut and clean water and the remaining flowers will give you at least a few more days, maybe longer.

Q: What does “Designers Choice” mean?

A: Designer’s choice means you trust us to create a unique floral design with the freshest of locally grown flowers. Feel free to let us know if your gift is for a special occasion or if the recipient has a favorite color flower. We will do our best to accommodate requests with the flowers we grow on our farm.

Q: What floral services do you provide?

A: We are not just a flower farm, we are also a full service florist. We can make arrangements for special occasions like birthdays, anniversaries, get well, sympathy, and any other occasion you would like to celebrate. We also provide floral services for weddings and events including table arrangements, bouquets, boutonnieres, installations, and other party decor. Around the holiday season we have seasonal wreaths and gifts.

Q: Can I have my flowers delivered

A: Yes. We provide local delivery to the following zip codes for $10. Northampton (01060, 01062, 01053) Easthampton and Westhampton (01027), and Haydenville (01039).

In areas outside these zip codes, please contact us to receive a delivery fee quote.

Q: When will my order be ready?

A: The more lead time you can give us the better. We can almost always accommodate orders within 1-2 days. We can occasionally accommodate same day orders if you call ahead. If we can’t fill an order for the requested time, we will contact you as soon as we can and refund your money. We rarely need to do this, but we are a small business with busy families and on rare occasions we have scheduling conflicts that can’t be changed.

After you place your order, we will contact you to finalize arrangements for pick up at the farmstand or local delivery.

Q: How do I pay for delivery

A: At checkout choose the “shipping” option for local delivery. After you enter the delivery address, the $10 delivery fee will be added to your total. If it refuses the delivery address then it is outside our $10 delivery area. You can complete the order without delivery and we can charge you separately, or you can call us for a delivery fee quote and we will work it out.

Q: Can I include a message with my gift

A: Yes, After you fill in the delivery address you will be prompted to enter additional delivery information and there is a field for entering a message to include with your gift

Q: Do you have a retail location

A: We do not have a staffed store or location. We have a self-serve farm stand that we stock with flower bouquets for the majority of the summer on Thursday-Sundays. During the fall and holiday season we stock wreaths and gifts. If you would like to place a special order with us, please do that by emailing us or placing an order through our online store. All orders are made to order.

Q: What is your address?

A: Our farm address is 140 Meadow Street Florence MA. We share that address with other small farmers and the Grow Food Northampton community gardens. We can not accept mail or deliveries at the farm. Please email us for our mailing/shipping address.

Q: Where is the farm stand?

A: The best way to find our farm stand is to look for the “flowers” sign by the side of the road on Meadow street in Florence. It is across the street from the big white farmhouse (which is 123 Meadow Street). Look for the bathtub full of plants and the wood shed style farm stand. Park on the road.

Q: When is the farmstand open?

A: We try to keep the farmstand stocked Thursday afternoon through Sunday night during our peak summer growing season. It may be open on other days and it may be closed if we sell out. You will know it’s open if the “flowers” sign is by the side of the road.
